"OK, there’s nothing else around like it in print at the moment (although Shindig and Ugly Things hit the spot in their own individual ways). But this is the real McCoy –fun, entertaining and full of facts, anecdotes all in a glossy full colour easy to read format (great layout)." "There are only 499 copies printed, so don’t miss out, give your full support and hopefully more issues will follow."
PUREPOP, Robin Wills
"What can I say about Brain Lapse that isn't dreadfully obvious already? The best zine I've seen since Rock Mania? For sure." "If you haven't already bought this, you deserve to die. This is the type of fanzine record collectors will be killing each other for in years to come. Impeccably laid out/designed, well written, all color, all slick."
TERMINAL BOREDOM, Rich K.
"The enthusiasm and devotion to their subjects shine through on every page, all 84 of which are brightly and boldly laid out to compliment the often mind-boggling but always entertaining content."
SHINDIG!, Andy Morten
"Along with UGLY THINGS and a few others publications, BRAIN LAPSE is a top-notch fanzine (yeah, I guess I do mean it!) that is a more-than-halfway-decent attempt at telling you and me, the unsuspecting reader, about groups and films and books that we should know about and the who whats'n whys behind the music in ways VH1'll never come up with in a millyun years!"

"そして最近、その第二弾が出版されることになった。バンドとしての来日と重なって最高のタイミング。誌名も一新された"BRAINLAPSE"というその最新号をおれに早速送ってきてくれたんだが、正直"ROCKMANIA"以上に凄い。"
STAY FREE BLOG, Fifi
"Brain Lapse, a labour of love covering mid-70s glam and powerpop in the vein of Greg Shaw's classic Bomp!, is pricey at $11 (£6), but there are 84 fun-packed glossy pages and no ads."
GUARDIAN UK, Karen Ablaze

"Great issue you have there and that's coming from someone who wrote for Shakin Street, The Rock Marketplace and Bomp!!!! Great interview with the Marbles and that reminded me I have to dig out a tape I have of their performance at ROCKAGES (First Record Convention) where they did an incredible version of the Monkees' She!!!! I also have tapes of other shows and when I interview them at the loft!!!! And the Equals coverage was great too!!!! Get issue 2 out soon."

"Supremely great magazine - anyone who hasn't ordered this yet should do so ASAP, because it'll be legendary and brutally sought after in a few years."
TERMINAL BOREDOM forum, Simon
"I swear Brain Lapse is the single greatest issue of any mag since the Bomp! power pop issue. The stuff assembled for the inside front and back covers freaked me out - I've got so much of that stuff. - the Dogs Legendary Lovers album, 'Brain Damage', original Skydog Animal God of the Streets, French "Let The Boy Rock'n'Roll" 7", Lolita’s Real Kids/Taxi Boys lp, Downliners Sect Showbiz album, Young Fast & Scientific #1, Bob Seger Ramblin Gamblin' Tales of Lucy blue lp, the issue of Creem with Chuch Berry on the cover etc., etc..... and the friggin Frechies album for chrissakes - not that it's actually any good. Alas I lost track of my copy of the Winos LP many years ago. Great to see my latest fave Bonnie St claire (thank you Robin Wills!) and the Shirkers single (which I have on a cassette Kim Kane sent me about 20 years ago!) on there too."
